Ramesh Rana's.......Autobiography

Ramesh Rana was born on 22nd Feb., 1962 at Bulandshahr, U.P. started his art journey from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in the year 1984 when he joined B.F.A. (Painting) under the guidance of renowned artists Sh. A. Ramachandran, Paramjeet Singh & Sh. Jatin Das. After completing his B.F.A. he pursued Diplome in Commercial Art from S.U.S.A., N. Delhi, Art Appreciation and India : Art & Culture from National Museum, N. Delhi and finally M.A. (Drg. & Ptg.) from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, M.P.

 

Since then he participated in various State & National Level Exhibitions worth mentioning include All India Youth Festival - Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi (85), Exhibition of Prize winning works - S.K.P., Delhi (86), All India Art Exhibition - H.W.F., Delhi (88), 7th All India Water Colour Exhibition - AIFACS, N. Delhi (88), All India Youth Art Exhibition - Bhartiya Kala Sangam Trust, Jabalpur (89), 6th All India Traditional Art Exhibition - AIFACS, N. Delhi (90), U.N. 50th Anniversary Exhibition - Russian Centre, N. Delhi (96), 67th, 68th, 70th, 71st All India Annual Art Exhibition - AIFACS, N. Delhi (96,97,98,2000), 24th Annual Art Exhibition - S.K.P., Delhi (96), 50th Year of Art of Independent India, - AIFACS, N. Delhi (97), Rashtriya Kala Mela - Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi (97), 65th & 66th All India Exhibition of Art - India Fine Arts Academy, Amritsar (99,2000), Exhibition of Artist Camp on Kargil Victory - AIFACS, N. He won awards First Prize in Creative Writing by Jamia Millia Islamia, N. Delhi (85), First Prize in Painting Competition by Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi (86) and Scholarship Award for Traditional Painting by AIFACS, N. Delhi (90).

He organized solo show of Paintings, at Triveni Art Gallery, N. Delhi (90-91), Lalit Kala Gallery, N. Delhi (99), Theme Gallery, N. Delhi (2000), Triveni Art Gallery, N. Delhi (2000,2003).

He also organized & participated in several group shows prominent of them include Lalit Kala Gallery, N. Delhi (99), Sheesh Mahal - N.Z.C.C., Patiala (95), Ajanta Art Gallery, N. Delhi (96), AIFACS, N. Delhi (96,98) & Arpana Arts Gallery, N. Delhi (99), Tapaswini Art Gallery, N. Delhi (2000), Lalit Kala Gallery, N. Delhi (2002) and Russian Centre of Science & Culture, N. Delhi (2002).

His bright art journey is earmarked by glorious Artist's Camp attended at Workshops of Batic, Screen Printings, Creative Art at N.T.R.C., N. Delhi (94,95), 24 hours Artists Camp - AIFACS, N. Delhi (99), All India Millenium Young Artist's Camp - AIFACS, N. Delhi (2001) and All India Young Artist's Camp - AIFACS, N. Delhi (2002).

His works are in important permanent collections of N.Z.C.C., Patiala, N.B.S., N. Delhi, A.W.C., New Delhi, A.G. Inds. Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon and some other private collections in India.
